Healthy, Wealthy, Wise

Healthy, Wealthy, Wise is a beautiful prayer to speak over those we love or encounter. A HEALTHY blessing is certainly a wealthy and wise blessing. A WEALTHLY blessing is certainly a healthy and wise blessing. A WISE blessing is certainly a path to a healthy and wealthy blessing.
As a Grammie I often speak Healthy, Wealthy and Wise over my children and grandchildren. I quit that pronouncement when it became too expected and a FunnyGram. I am guessing it meant something as my children gifted me a throw cushion imprinted with those words along with a family photo. Seeing that cushion daily on my couch is a beautiful reminder of my own blessings of Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.
The deep Spiritual significance of those three words slipped through the cracks of childhood of my brothers and me. My brothers and I learned the “Dale Carnegie” way of life and the “Jesus” way of life. The Dale Carnegie way of life I gleamed were “be all things to all people at all times.” The Jesus way of life was that of a poor wandering sacrificial soul. Where is Healthy, Wealthy and Wise?
Healthy was sacrificially caring for others until the end of your life. Wealthy was for those hell bound for their love of money. Wise meant do not mess up or you will die and go to hell. Well, in this little Christian girl mind, life focused on not going to hell was front and center!
I am awake now. It is a new day dawning. Healthy is taking care of oneself physically, emotionally and spiritually for the strength to share in caring for others. Wealthy is God’s plan for us with the words “have life and have it more abundantly,” the gifts of provision and prosperity. Wise is being able to think for oneself. Wise is knowing when to speak and when not to speak. Wise is broadening one’s horizons with exploration of thoughts and forming one’s own foundation of beliefs and concepts and being open to change one’s mind.
Oh, how I wish I had known and practiced Healthy, Wealthy and Wise in my own growing up and in raising my children. My prayer is that 52 years, 50 years and 43 years later my daughters have learned from my “waking up.” Daughters know healthy caring of self, know it is not a sin to have more than enough money at the end of a paycheck and know it is wise to be healthy and wealthy.
May God Bless FunnyGrams!
